Dressing up for Halloween has been one of my favorite traditions since college. Even though I always dressed up as a child, I literally only remember one costume — Jasmine from Aladdin, and even though I loved the outfit I recall feeling so self conscious of my belly showing! Flash forward 20 years and now I’m responsible for dressing my whole family, which makes costume picking all the more challenging.
I’m sharing all the details on our outfits this year with the hope that it helps someone in need of a family theme!
MY OUTFIT
I ordered three pirate costumes (this, this, and this) with hopes that one would work. Luckily this Leg Avenue one worked (it was snug in the arms but fit everywhere else!) I paired it with this necklace and this bracelet to add some flair. My spider earrings are local to Houston, from St. Raine Jewelry, and I used a black wool hat I already owned.
Any pair of black boots will do the trick, and I used a fun pair of hose to complete the look.
BRANDON’S OUTFIT
This shirt was the easiest guy costume ever and Brandon received SO many laughs and compliments. We ordered his shirt and added a wig (not necessary, but a fun addition!) Viola!
BRAEDEN’S COSTUME
We actually combined two costumes for this one, because I felt like the first wasn’t quite enough. Here is the link to the first costume and second costume. Braeden already had some skull boots, and we added a necklace for a little more flare.
BROCK’S COSTUME
Thank goodness for easy infant onesie costumes — and the fact that he still sleeps in his stroller when we’re out in public!
